I'm too old to have been part of a Soul Tribe and am only aware of two from down here. They had great names - The Clapham Function and The Dover Soul Patrol. Did such things start up North and if they did, what were the best names?

Like the Function at the Junction best. (TMG573 from memory). And I'm too old too - didn't know such things existed.
You've got me going now How about Devon must have sent you ? The Essex (Sussex was a label too (I know of the Decisions A&M UK) The Boston Monkies were from Lincolnshire and whilst I'm with Billy Butler - The Rail Track (the in-house soul tribe of BR) And a tribe from Philadelphia that had a limited membership - The 81. The Fife Pipers were Scottish (and not particularly soulful).
