Can anyone shed any light on the George Clinton tune (Please Don't Run from Me) in the song section. I've been trying to find it but no luck. Does anyone know what year it was recorded, what album etc. It doesn't sound like The Parliaments but I don't really have a clue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, James.

"Are there two George Clintons? Not counting the former Vice-President of the United States and former mayor of New York City, there is another George Clinton involved in the world of music. He is George S. Clinton, and he had an album out in the mid-70's and a single. He mostly does music for movies and TV shows. His music is also funkless; don't be confused and pick up his work by mistake! This other Clinton had a 1975 album called Arrival of the George Clinton Band, and a single, "Please Don't Run From Me" b/w "Life And Breath." Not to mention him recently scoring the film Mortal Kombat and the tv show Red Shoe Diaries. To add to the confusion, there's also a George T. Clinton, who also did some music in the 70's." I found this on the net at www.duke.edu/~tmc/motherpage/pfaq.html I've just listened to it and If this track WAS recorded and released in 75 it just can't be George "F" Clinton. The voice is not right and obviously the genre is not what he was involved in at that time. Having said that for 75 this is obviously "not normal music of that time" and retro in production. And quite pleasant although a little long. So believe the web entry or not. That is the question.

Thanks for that Brian. I was feeling a little sheepish as I had mentioned in another thread that I was a huge George Clinton fan and then didnt have a clue when I read the question here. Your answer explains all and now I dont feel so bad Midge
