Spiral Staircase--"More today than Yesterday"--on U.S.Columbia records was a big pop hit in America ,and later on the Northern Scene(early Wigan--i believe)---i love you more today than yesterday---but not as much as tomorrow. Hope this helps topcatnumpty(a.k.a.Tony.C.)

Showing my age here, but on a recent cruise on Fred Olsen's ship Boudica, the resident dance band opened one of their shows with "More today than yesterday". I was pleasantly surprised to hear it. As they were from the Philipines, and not Wigan, I assume it must have been quite a decent sized USA hit.

It certainly was snake, it almost made the top ten in 1969 and that must have resulted in massive sales in the U.S. I actually think the spelling is Spiral Starecase???
