Well July 5th saw the return of the Grafton and the return to form of Sister Dawn, I believe that last night Dawn truly went back to her roots a played a set she enjoyed and was appreciated by every one in attendance. I have always enjoyed the Grafton and last night was no different , it was nice to catch up with some of the people who have call the Grafton home for some years this includes the lovely Shirl. Any way I digress although the night was not overly attended the sounds played out were some of the best I have heard in some time Skip as always played up a storm and as I have already said quality from Dawn This was my first night as guest at the Grafton and I would like to thank all for the very warm welcome and to everybody who expressed there enjoyment of my set thank you it was my pleasure it’s you lot that make our job as dj’s worth while. Any way great to see ya back Dawn pete

Well guys what can I say but a massive thanks to the collective who turned out and made it the night it was. It was great to see no bums on seats during the sets played by all Djays concerned. Some class quality music played out ALL nite, heard the Revs was good too (sorry hun had to work til 9pm ) banging oldies to the present day played too accomodating ears. Everyone went home very happy. Special Thanks to Pete Caveman Watkins for cooking up a storm. The boys tried to keep me off the decks by fiddling with the power but after a few fiddles with nobs and switches etc yours truly came on. Not one bit of modern from me tonight, needed to seal the healing process with pure oldies, cant remember what I played, but they hit the spot, the friendly dance off between the Rev and Ricky from Notts was brill to watch. It was as hot as hell in there, massive thanks to 'Big Col' who covered me in sweat twice and thanking me for the memories. You've probably read my rant on the soul in decline thread, done in a sort of bacardi haze, but every word true. .... The ELSC is back and I am at peace again in the world of soul, where I belong. Looking forward to Friday/Saturday nite at Horny hopefully will see you all there. Nice to see Shinner and the old boyz from the day, massive plans discussed for the venue more later guys!. Geoff all the way from Ireland, the newark guys and gals big hugs... little miss soul rosie, who gave the rev and ricky a run for their money on the dance floor (girl after my heart kicked off her shoes and did the business in her socks (no talc needed). Bestest bit was being with our Mel who is back and as lovely as ever, she will be with us reprobates at horny. Love ya Mel xxxxx So will see you all next month, first Saturday 2nd August ... Sis D xxx
