Hosted by the most genial and friendliest DJs and promoters going in Ian Gee and Carl Piper YOU GET WHAT THEY ADVERTISE SOLID CLASSIC NORTHERN SOUL,
with Michael Cooper doing an excellent warm up spot, would have been there to get more of the early bits but drinking coffee and putting the world to rights and following Mick Coopers bad lady(Sat Nav) which seemed to have different directions to what roads there where.
sorry Mick
ps he wasnt the only one some buddies from Newark went to Matlock instead and he was a Taxi driver???
all in all with the no,s early doors slow to come in by about 8.30 there about 90 souls in and a solid dance floor for Ian Graham Weaver and Carl followed by me and thought as usual to play a Jr track as Mick had done earlier for our Jen,
plus some different trax which i am allowed to do,so here goes with a track listing in no particular order inc a carver of Jo Jama, requested.
Jr Walker Shotgun
Mood Mosaic/ Touch of Velvet(Clare)
Gwen Owens,/Wanted and Neede
Clyde Mcphatter /Please Give Me 1 More Chance

and all in all a good well attended night.
and mine and Coops thanks go to Ian and Carl for inviting us to play at this inaugaural event in what is a cracking little venue, wooden dance floor, easy access.and easy to find without the Sat Nav(bad lady in a screen)
and didnt sell a record.
