A great song by the Duprees, but I`m looking for a more up tempo version. All I can tell you is that it was on a red label and it was by a group not a solo artist.I used to own a copy of this which makes the frustration even worse.HELP!

That doesn`t ring any bells, however I listened to their track on page 27 and the lead vocals did sound familiar,I wonder if the copy I had was a cover up.

I found the track you`re on about by the Soul Brothers Six and that`s not the one.It is however a cracking track so it`s downloaded onto the hard drive CHEERS!

Glad you found it. I was going to suggest the Italian Asphalt & Paving Company but their version is very similar to that of the Duprees.

An old favourite of mine the Intruders but another of those spins that doesn't sound the same listening to it at home. That beating rhythm and the vocals that you just can't quite make out need the big halls and the volume turned up Chris, did you make that one up ;D ;D 'The Italian asphalt and Paving Co' (what's that all about) We should have a thread about the daftest most inappropriate names ever to be played at a venue because I know there are some absolutely stupid ones.

As if I would?? No, it's genuine Steve and is probably just a pseudonym for the Duprees. The song sounds identical and both versions were produced by Jerry Ross being released on Colossus in the States, although the Duprees was quite a bit earlier. I think the Italian Ashphalt & Paving Co. release came out at the same time on the label as another of your favourites Steve, 'Venus' by Shocking Blue. ;D Hope all is well with you mate.
