Is the CD of similar standard to If I Could Give You The World ? Why'd you sell vinyl ? Anything in particular you after? (not that I will probably have it)

The album is from the last knockings of the Detroit era. Produced by Henry Cosby. Issued October 1971
2 45's both good ... "It's a lonesome road/ Yesterday's love is over" "If I could give you the world/We gotta sacrifice"
He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother If I Could Give You The World It's A Lonesome Road One Day Rainy Night In Georgia Thank You Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin What Does It Take (To Win Your Love) Would You Take A Dime From A Poor Man Yesterday's Love Is Over You Gotta Sacrifice (We Gotta Sacrifice) You've Made Me So Very Happy
Personally I love "Yesterday's love is over" ...worth the album alone ."Lonesome road" not bad. The other tracks are OK........average cover versions of Motown & other tunes. "If I could give you the world" has gained a reputation I believe.. Richard Searling went through a phase of playing it on his radio show.
I am entirely vinyl free..........sold my 45s/lps many years ago when I had almost all the Motown I could get back then. When companies like Kent, Inferno, started issuing Northern LP compilations I started buying again. Then when CDs came along, I went 100% CD........both new and my own compilations of tracks I have on cassette tapes.
Will happily swap for any CD.........have you a few titles as examples?

Couldn't help you here ash because I don't own the album. However, I do have both of the 45's and you made me very anxious that I was missing something serious. Larry's tracklisting has reassured me. There doesn't appear to be too much exciting on there. Even the popular 45 doesn't really get anywhere. Tread carefully on V.I.P. ash. I reckon that santa could do a lot better!!!
