To start this thread going i thought about who to choose as over the years i have been fortunate and in some cases unfortunate to meet some great jocks but the one who i would attempt to give some sort of praise to is Rick Todd. This is mainly for 2 reasons....... 1.This guy is so unassuming it,s unreal and he has been around for years.I hear the druids were dancing to his spot with the construction of Stonehenge.Anyone who knows him will tell you he is a gent and if you haven,t met him do so as it will enrich your life 2. HE!!!! discovered Bobby hutton....Lend a hand and passed it on to levine and co so without him i wouldn,t have my fave tune.

Great choice, Rick has played blinding spots every time he has guested at Horncastle and is one of the real gents too, he just enjoys what he does and it shows.

On the subject i would just like to add that Callum turner is a name to watch out for over the years. At 14 he oozes confidence and is his own man,he knows the music and has an attitude that a lot of the "super jocks" could learn from.Remember folks you heard it first here!!.What do you say to that Marvin?.

Heard you did a wild spot at DRAX, everytime you cleared the floor, you blamed the fire alarm, Cal says ta for the recomendation, but he will not sleep with you again.

He has guested at H/castle along side Nick Borst and also has done a couple of spots at the Mem hall Cleethorpes.Rumour has it that a certain mate of his is trying his nuts off to get him a spot at Drax too .The thing is as i have said chevez is that at the tender age of 14 he has access to some great sounds and doesn,t need guidance which to play.He is a bit mikeshy but he will learn but he knows what he likes and will debate with the best of the.I genuinly feel if he sticks with it he could be the future Sam,Searling etc

Just to reiterate my point, went to Clees last night and Callum did a one hour set with his dad wich was very good but then we were treat to him doing a spot with "Toddy" wich was awesome..He (Call) told me he is busy collecting so like i said watch this space guys!!!.On the whole a great night altho it seemed a shame the locals didn,t get there till late

My appologies independent lady, you are correct as SOME of the locals were there when me and my sidekick arrived and others arrived later. It just seemed a shame like you say that the travellers and a loyal few can support a good venue yet the residents couldn,t.As i have said earlier it was a great night with lots of suprises and the visit was worth doing because of it.This Tigger found his bounce again. By the way too Soulfull Rob your spot was Colly,s pick of the night matey it was great

One of the nicest people on the scene and a joy to watch behind the decks.

martin barnfather was very good at cleethorpes recently, andy 'smudge' smith is sounding great now he's mixing a few popular modern & 70s in his sessions, chris forest, great taste in music gift wrapped in political comment, refreshing change. also heard that jacko (sweet soul), very good spot, you know, if you think about it, although there are far too many collectors who think they know how to control a floor there aren't that many who play for the punter and not themselves (or their mates/spouses) but those who do get it right are a pleasure to share an hour with.

Sam Moore has to be my all time inspiration and mega d.j. I have never seen him do a bad spot and he always has the dancefloor filled. Fantastic d.j with a heart of gold.
