I suppose the best ever for me was Curtis (Colin). I thought selection was always sound and even though I struggled with the heralding of the modern scene as I thrived on stompers, he did inject life into sometimes dreary long 45s/12".
Currently, I have to acknowledge anyone who dares to push the norm or searches and finds new for the scene. In that case I would say Butch/Adey Croasdale as they are fed by some top foragers.

Sam Moore has to be my all time inspiration and mega d.j.I have never seen him do a bad spot and he always has the dancefloor filled. Fantastic d.j with a heart of gold. you never been to Ilkeston then ? not exactly brimming with enthusiasm on the mic is he? I wasnt aware Derek Allen had passed away, very sad news!! Last time i saw him was at the bank holiday Ritzy (palais) nights a few years back

My choice for top dj would have to be the great Nev Wherry, a dj the like we will never see again.
