Square peg sat 15 march
Sunny skeggy more like bloody siberian skeggy as the wind and rain lashed down the seafront,we entered into the warmth of the peg to be greeted by promoter brian who works hard to make this little gem on the seafront come alive once a month,he has a good rapport with the owner gary and they are always improving little things, this month they had a new sound system installed and the warm up spot being played by Bogey sounded sweeter than ever, nestling on the east coast this venue has to pull its patrons from only one direction and it was nice to see people from cambridge leicester stamford boston etc.
Guest djs for the night were Yocki,Marcus Reid,Martin Sandford and skeggys own Dave Raistrick, who between them all played great sets, getting people prised away from the bar here sometimes is a problem but all djs managed to coax them onto the floor with a across the board music policy of play what you like, dave playing his skeggy anthems, marcus martin and yocki across the board as you like well done guys.
Cant put my finger on this but this venue always has a great atmosphere,is it the music policy, the people or a mixture of both,or is it because the night goes on until late and the alcohol takes over, but all around the peg the vibes were of people having a great night out,im not so diverse as coops with my words and going to liken this as steak diane, just a bloody good night out enjoying music and freindship,if you aint been yet come on in,but be prepared to come back, once again well done all jocks, promoters and patrons.
Newsflash----unknown jock crams the dancefloor for the last half hour, people saying who the f@ck was he,f@cking awesome,----------------fill in the blanks.
