when it says low disc space does it give you any options? like delete temporary files, it should give you these options and tell you how much disc space is saved by each one, be careful what you delete as some files help run others and you don't want to delete any dll things as this can cause endless problems, when it comes up again try and write down what it says you can do, but you could get a memory stick and transfer files onto it, or start deleting files like films and stuff that you don't use anymore, are we talking a laptop/notebook or a pc? Bloody 'ell Jen, is that what's called 'baffling with science' 'cos I'm lost!!!! ;D

My answer is get a huge great big external hard drive just for your MP3's. I now have 1.5 terrabite of storage via 3 extra drives and it is around £100 for 500gig nowadays, my pick is Maxtor 3 One Touch which is so simple to use and you can use it to back up your machine with a single touch too. The drive will show up as a new drive when you plug it in to a USB socket and all you do is get into the habit of saving there instead of on your C drive and those files you have clogging the system up drag across to it by viewing in My Computer. Also maximise your RAM as it is probably the cheapest way to speed up your machine.

Good advice about the external HDD Nick .. another plus side to using that option is that you can just unplug it and all your Mp3's, photos etc are available for viewing on a second pc (whether it be yours or a friends). I had the same trouble as you Chris and bought a 80 gig HD for £40..... has about 8500 mp3.s on it and zillions of photos .. also if the pc crashes you don't lose those irreplaceable files.

SAME SORT OF THING just plug in and unplug after usage

BY MY SISTER BUT SHE CAN`T REMEMBER THE PASSWORD WHEN YOU TURN IT ON SO I IS STUCK CHRIS Not that I know of, think it is a format and start again but there are probably clever blokes out there gonna say yes now I said that. If it is new to you it would be better doing the format anyway.

Not being one of those "clever blokes" I also think the best course of action is to do a reformat and start with a completely blank canvas so to speak (this gets rid of any progams you don't need and stops them taking up space on the HDD).

Probably easiest way is to stick your windows cd in the cd drawer and follow the instructions. PROBLEM THERE NICK I DON`T HAVE THE WINDOWS C.D. AHH might be worth asking around for someone local who will help out, the CD is the easy bit but you still need a serial number.
