Looks good Mitch, and two weeks to mess around before you have to part with money They've got some instructions here jos.nijmegen.internl.net/HowToConnect.htm Let us all know how you get on. I did have a go with Windows Sound Recorder once, hours of frustration for no result Did wonder if it was the settings on my cheapo sound card One more untried solution, an audio adapter to go from your deck's phono outputs to a USB port, the Griffin-9066-IMIC2-iMic-Audio-Interface £20 from Amazon, should work the same way as all those USB turntables

Need to tweak a few settings on your sound inputs to make it work if I remember.

Can you remember what you had to tweak Nick? Just the level, or are there other things? I was using a Zoom palmtop studio, and the volume was chopping up and down all over the place, sort of reverse compression, plus distortion. The palmtop can export WAVs, so I didn't have to persist with the audio input.

I use a progarmme called Audio Cleanup...about £30 Dead easy too ! Comes with 'auto wizzard' or more complex cleaning/filtering....I don't bother too much, auto works quite well . You just need a jack plug from your player (eg Ghetto Blaster) into PC, load, clean , copy to CD.

SW Mix option rings a bell.
