Had a re-think - going for the LP sessions of Marvin's "What's Goin' On"

O.K. so they've been at Motown for a while and nothing’s happening. Brian Holland goes over to speak to them while they’re watching the acts at the 20 Grand club and says ‘hey I think I’ve got a track for you cats.’ The next day at Hitsville Levi and the boys run through the first take of ‘Baby I Need Your Lovin’. Imagine witnessing that, you’ve just gone to heaven!!!

Although I can't stand Marvin Gaye, I'd like to have been at the recording of What's Going On just to check out James Jamerson playing the bass flat on his back because he was too stoned to sit or stand - assuming the story was true. Failing that - The Impressions recording You've Been Cheating.
