68-73 for me - it was new, vibrant & soooooooo cool, there was the mod revival etc etc AND it was prior to the Soul Politics which split the scene unfortunately So yeah, egos in the bin by the door 68-73 Thank You John I was just Teasin You

Have to pick the 60s as I was discovering Soul and Girls then! Anyway, I was married by the 70s.

Welcome to the site pejko, I hope you cast your vote accordingly. Teacher myself but did 33 and escaped. Have a look through the threads and join in whenever you can. You sound well qualified to contribute.

Another teacher here! did 35 years & got out last year. Love all shades of soul but always return to where it started for me...late 60's!

It has to be mid to late 60`s thats when a lot of stuff was coming into this country & we also had Geno & Jimmy James. Early 70`s would come in at a close 2nd.

HAS TO BE THE BACK END OF THE 70'S(CIRCA 77-81). RICHARD SEARLING CAME INTO HIS OWN AT WIGAN,SAM,JOHN MANSHIP, ARTHUR FENN ETC AT CLEES,ST IVES, FLEET ET ALL.THE START OF THE "MODERN" SOUL BOOM. AND STILL RECORDS FROM THAT ERA ARE PACKING FLOORS ALL OVER.WE HAD SOME CRAP TOO BUT BY AN LARGE A GREAT ERA, WITH A PLETHORA OF DISCOVERIES,FROM JOE 90 TO JOE MATHEWS WE HAD THE LOT!
