I know there are many more and I have done my best with my favourite cringers, and if anyone wants to buy the demo of Mickey Mouse PLEASE contact me, it is a much sought after sound....honestly it is. Remind me someone what it was covered up as, I forget and nobody seems to know.

PPS Did time stop for you in 1974?

nah sorry sis I just don't know the words. but it wouldnt do for us all to be the same eh, how would we all fit into a venue, Hey I do however have fond memories of spending my school dinner money in Corrigans record shop on my first record 'nine times out of ten' and being hungry all week. I don't know what happened to it though

I can remember spending mine at tonys in silver street and at Vics on lincoln market, and haggling that I thought 50p was a tad too expensive for a record. Also rediffusion for the casino classics and destiny covers. Spending all day in the booths at spouge's in the cornhill, listening to Northern and driving the staff mad... At the palais, buying a 12inch white label of Janis for £2.50..... I wish I had a time machine. Used to look forward to getting a copy of Manships mail order catalogue then queing to use the phone box to place an order, taking a risk when you ordered his mixed packs. Oh the good old days.

I also got some good bargains in second hand shops 50p's etc. Yeah I got that copy of Janis back in 1980 too but I paid a bit more than £2.50 They were good times..... nearly as good times as these. Easier to get around now but how I miss the train rides. Ooh and I miss the drill hall too sis never missed it. You were obviously a regular there.

Yes jj I was, my first ever alnighter was there... used to sit up in the top left hand corner (looking from the stage) I used to love the train journeys to the palais on a sunday, used to run like hell from the train station at notts to the palais and we used to run even quicker on the way back, else we were stuck if we missed it (and we did on a few occassions) so had to hitch it back to Lincoln. I enjoyed the buses too, waiting outside the barbican in st marys st, to go to va vas, samanthas, queens hall, stoke etc etc, and of course the winter gardens. There was always a dodgy aroma at the back of the bus, something herbal I think, but was too young and innocent to find out what it was l

;D ;D ;D love it, I remember well running like hell to catch the trains, my feet sore from dancing all night, I used to nearly crawl home. Also remember the daylight used to come through the ceiling at the drill hall eeeek. we were too young to go into the pub across the road (wheatsheaf I think it was ) so we went to the wimpy then sat outside til midnight on our bags. bloomin freezin. but buzzing. As for the dodgy smell on the bus What was it sis ? I'm still naive

Hey Jan...... can you remember going into the cafe near the old ABC cinema, after the alnighter, I cant remember what it was called. But it used to resemble a scene similar to the Zombie movies......
